On Saturday, November 7, the Plymouth Whalers and the Plymouth Community United Way joined to pay tribute to all our men and women in the Armed Forces.  A soldier from each branch was presented a Certificate of Recognition and Appreciation.

The Eastern Michigan University Color Guard was on hand during the National Anthem and during the award presentations.

A swearing-in ceremony for Air Force recruits was conducted during the first intermission.

With the help of Destiny Eadie and her "Cards from Destiny" campaign, numerous postcards and Christmas cards were written by fans, which were sent in care packages filled with treats and toiletries for soldiers.
