The 11th annual Plymouth Community United Way “Tee Off for a Friend” Golf Classic and Dinner will be held Thursday, August, 20, at the Fox Hills Golf & Banquet Center, located at 8768 N. Territorial Road in Plymouth, Michigan.

The event is sponsored this year by DTE Energy, Johnson Controls, Tower Automotive and Visteon in conjunction with the Plymouth Community United Way.

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. There will be a continental breakfast, along with use of the driving range, putting green and locker room.

The 18-hole scramble includes lunch on the course. Golf will be followed by cocktails and dinner, as well as prizes drawings, raffles and other activities.

Last year’s Tee Off for a Friend golf outing was the richest ever for the Plymouth Community United Way, netting more than $204,000 which was added to the endowment fund.

The endowment fund will be used to defray administrative costs and allow the PCUW to give 100 percent of its contributions to charity.
