The Plymouth Community United Way donated turkeys to the Focus: HOPE for Seniors Program towards the end of November.

This program provides monthly meals for seniors 60 years of age or older based on eligibility and yearly income. In addition, the Plymouth division of this program actually delivers the food to the seniors instead of asking them to pick up the food each month.

The turkeys were given in conjunction with the regular monthly food distribution in November. Some seniors planned on serving their turkey at their own home for Thanksgiving, while others were excited to take it with them to a family Thanksgiving celebration elsewhere.

The size of this program varies from year to year. Please contact Bobbi Pummill from the Plymouth Community Council on Aging at (734) 453-1234 ext. 236 for further program information.
