The Plymouth Community United Way and the Plymouth Whalers hockey team hosted the ‘Teddy Bear Toss’ on Dec. 4 at Compuware Arena.

Guests were asked to bring a new teddy bear or stuffed animal to toss on the ice when the Whalers scored their first goal. By the end of the game, there were 877 stuffed animals thrown onto the ice. All stuffed animals will be donated to various children’s charities.
